Muslim Fashion Runway (MUFWAY) 2024, held in mid-March at the Grand Atrium of Pakuwon Mall Surabaya, featured the latest releases from designer Lia Afif, including a special collaboration with Tenun Mulya from Kediri. The collection combined local tenun ikat with contemporary Muslim silhouettes that presented bold colors such as terracotta, green, and beige that looked elegant and culturally rich. Lia Afif successfully emphasized the diversity of Islamic-modest aesthetics with a touch of local wisdom and supported the preservation of traditional wastras through a strategic partnership with Tenun Mulya.
