East Java Fashion Harmony (EJFH) 2024, which was held on June 22 at Midodaren Beach, Tulungagung, carried the theme “Rise of Reminiscence” as an effort to bring back the glory of traditional East Java weaving. The event featured dozens of local and international designers, including renowned designer Lia Afif, who collaborated with Tenun Mulya from Kediri. In this collaboration, Lia Afif presented an elegant fashion collection based on Tenun Mulya's signature ikat weaving, combined with a modern touch that still emphasizes cultural values and local wisdom. EJFH 2024 became an inspiring stage that combined wastra heritage with contemporary creativity, and helped strengthen East Java's identity as the center of wastra and sustainable fashion in Indonesia.
